Free CD, Why I Ditched My Old Free CDs

I noticed a few weeks ago that you took away some of your free CDs. I also know from Twitter that you attended a few mastermind sessions with some big marketers around that same time. Would you care to share why you chose those changes?
Answer: The reason I’m doing those changes is because those CDs are old. I no longer do those things that the CDs are specifically designed to sell. A lot of people have wondered what was said during the mastermind that caused me to take those CDs off the market. I just really sat back in my room and analyzed my business model. I wanted to figure out what to promote more and get rid of items that were obsolete in my business.
So I got rid of some of my old product line and replaced it with a new product line that is specifically geared around what I am currently teaching and doing in my business. You’ll actually see this happening here very shortly. I will have a brand new CD that you should get, but there will be a big launch so you can see my whole backend process.
I’ve sold off a couple of companies so I can really focus on my business now. It really feels like I’m semi-retired. Therefore, I’ve been able to work on the business instead of in the business. So I’ve been able to make a lot of changes. I really got clear on my desires and what I wanted out of life. I figured out what I wanted my business to look like and how I’m going to take my business to a whole new level with less work.
Question #2: I went to www.promotingtips and noticed that you a redirecting me back to a product you promoted last summer. Are you at liberty to discuss anything more about this? Or are you killing all the old entry points to your old product funnel and just focusing on continuity?
Answer: Great observation. You are correct. I am very interested in building up my membership and focusing on continuity. I’ve changed my business model completely this year. You’ve been watching me and that is good.
My focus now is getting more members. So every day I am thinking about what I can do to drive more traffic to my pages. What can I do to make more sales? Also I’ve done something else where I have a small internal sales team that is not as big as it used to be. I also have an outside sales team of about 10 guys which requires me to send over many, many leads to my team every month. This holds me accountable for making sales.
There were a lot of elements involved in making these decisions. Basically, the whole thing was based on how I could make my life easier.
