If your niche is cheap weddings and you include cheap wedding dresses as one of your keywords your site should pop up.
Because many large companies do not realize a profit when marketing to a smaller segment of the population, niche marketers often attract a loyal customer base quite successfully.
Even though these market segments of consumers are typically small, their interest in the product or service being presented to them is high. This means that they will be much more likely to make a purchase than someone who does not fall into their group or niche.
Depending on the product, niche marketers target many different types of individuals. Their choices can be based on criteria such as age and/or gender, hobbies, geographic location, marital status, religion, political beliefs, occupation, travel preferences, etc.
The key to finding a profitable niche market is to locate a need, which is currently being overlooked. The next step is to find or develop a product or service that will adequately meet this need.
For example: Mr. Smith is interested in establishing a cleaning business. However, he discovers that there is already a cleaning business located nearby. Instead of scrapping idea and choosing another venture he decides to open a niche cleaning business, instead.
He has many choices when deciding on a specialty. These choices include but are not limited to: window cleaning, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and vertical blind cleaning: the list goes on. Other niches might be move in cleaning, or move out cleaning, fire and smoke clean up, deep cleaning, or quick cleaning services.
All of these services are in demand, so whatever niche Mr. Smith chooses they will be individuals interested in obtaining his services. Most will be much more inclined to contact him, as opposed to a general cleaning service.
Niche marketing is not only for new businesses. With a bit of research and creative thinking, almost every, previously established, business can successfully cater to a variety of niche markets. All that is required is the desire and financial means to do so.
